From a world record to intelligent machine insights
Our story began in 1998, when Jacob Csizmadia broke a world record by inline skating 505 kilometres in 24 hours on skates equipped with ceramic ball bearings. Two years later, he introduced ceramic bearings to professional cycling at the Tour de France. Following this success, CeramicSpeed was founded and began producing hybrid bearings in Holstebro, Denmark.
Since then, CeramicSpeed has built decades of experience in bearings, rotating equipment and industrial applications. Working closely with customers around the world has given us extensive knowledge of how bearings and machinery perform under real operating conditions.

From mechanical performance to digital insights
Over time, our experience also highlighted another opportunity. Improving machine reliability is not only about the components inside a machine. It is also about understanding their condition and knowing when something starts to change.
This became the starting point for our work with condition monitoring. In collaboration with Aarhus University, we combined our knowledge of bearings and rotating machinery with wireless sensor technology, machine data and intelligent analysis.
Today, Optimize is CeramicSpeed Industry's growing portfolio of digital solutions, created to give maintenance teams better insight into their machinery and make condition monitoring easier to use in everyday maintenance.
Optimize Edge is the first product in this journey. It combines wireless vibration monitoring, intelligent analysis and an intuitive dashboard to turn complex machine data into clear, actionable information.
And this is only the beginning. Our ambition is to continue developing digital solutions under the Optimize name that help customers understand their machinery, plan maintenance more effectively and reduce unplanned downtime.
From better bearings to better machine insights.
